Custom Automation & Design Build

Safer, Faster, Better

Companies face obstacles every day. If your business is experiencing accelerated growth of existing business, new products being introduced into your operation, labor shortages or high turnover, product quality issues on outgoing goods, workplace safety hazards, etc, automating a portion of your manufacturing process may reduce or eliminate many of these problems. The process is simple.

1. Identify the problem. Meet with our team to identify product or process that needs to be automated and why. These initial meetings can be extremely beneficial in learning what other positive impacts automation might have on your operation beyond the initial obstacle(s).

2. Formulate plan for solution. PD&B team works to create some “napkin sketches” of ideas. This could range from a written description to a 3D CAD concept depending on the nature of the project.

3. Refine. We work with your team to discuss options and refine the goals of the project to determine a budgetary cost for the project. If the interested parties

4. Quote. PD&B team creates an accurate quote to encompass all discussions and ideas agreed upon.

5. Design and Build. Project gets kicked off with a PO, PD&B team gets to work designing in Inventor, having design reviews along the way. After a final review, the physical machine starts to take shape.

6. Testing. Sample parts get sent to PD&B’s facility to test and calibrate the equipment to run as efficiently as possible, identify any issues and make it as easy as possible for the operators to run.

7. Delivery. Customers come to our facility to sign off on the equipment and we tear down the equipment to be shipped and installed at your facility. PD&B can install and commission equipment if needed.

PD&B works in almost any industry and can leverage lessons learned and technologies used in aluminum extrusion, food packaging, automotive and countless others to level up your manufacturing processes. We’ve used an automotive technology in the garage door industry, an aluminum decoiling technology in the food packaging space. Reach out and see what we can do for you and your operation.
